Boom! for October 09
- DIE HARD: YEAR ONE #2
Still no mention of a new Eureka project. I'll be very disappointed if the will be no more Eureka comics eps. since there are no Eureka tie-in novels unlike most other scifi TV series.

Star Trek archives vol. 4 - DS9 - review
This is a collection of the 1st 5 old DS9 issues + a seperate mini issue. The 5 old issues are great story, art and reprinting wise. I enjoyed them very much. The mini issue is horrible. The reprinted pages are small and the quallity is veyr poor. If IDW couldn't get a decent original copy for reprinting, why bother with it when the end result is horrible ???Any how I hope that the rumors about IDW getting the DS9 liscense are true. I'll love reading more DS9 stories.

Angel news from SDCC 09
Finally some good news from the IDW Angel panel in comics con:
- A new tongue-in-cheek two-part story where Angel and Spike actually infiltrate San Diego Comic-Con because a movie has been made (in the comic) about Angel and his heroics after saving Los Angeles from Hell in the aptly titled Last Angel in Hell. The movie itself will be depicted in the 40-page Angel Annual in December 09.
- A launch of a Spike monthly title written by Lynch with artwork by Urru in 2010.
- Angel: A Hole in the World, a five issue mini-series which adapts an episode of the original television show into comic book form.
- A new five issue Illyria mini-series. It’s a travel story, she’s going to a funeral for her uncle. She and Gunn go on a road trip together.” Ryall notes that this is also a story that depicts Gunn’s struggles with not being a vampire any longer and it also explores his first encounter with a vampire.
It all sound great. But for some reason I remember reading about the Spike ongoing in last year comics con panel.

SDCC 09 - so far very disappointing :(
The 1st 2 days of SDCC are over and so far I'm VERY disappointed. Nothing interesting in the IDW planel. Star Trek was mentioned only briefly when they talked about the movie adaption which was talked about before. No mention what so ever of Doctor Who. :( There is still the Angel panel later today so I'm still not giving up hope.
As usual nothing interesting for me in the DC & Marvel multiple panels. Boom ! mentioned Eureka in past tense with no new announcments :(
Still waiting for Dark Horse & Dynamite panels.

Doctor Who: Room with a deja view - review
So far I loved all the IDW's Doctor Who comics, wheather they were mini series or oneshots. But not this one. The writier tried to be inventive I guess with the option to read the comics either forward or backwards but it didn't work. Not for me anyway. I didn't get the story no matter which way I tried to read it. The art is good but the story didn't make sense. Guess you need to be a time lord or the writer to get it. I'm disappointed :(

Stargate comics wonderful new
According to ICv2.com "Dynamite Entertainment has obtained the comic book and graphic novel rights to the Stargate franchise from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Three series are planned, one for each of the three shows: Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, and Stargate Universe.
The prequel comic for Stargate Universe, will feature art by John Watson and story by Chuck Dixon, with covers by Dave Dorman. Stargate Atlantis, beginning with Season Six, will be adapted by Doug Murray; and Stargate SG-1, beginning with Season 11, will be written by Brandon Jerwa.
Diamond will release a $1.00 comic, Stargate #0, to help launch all three titles."
I am so excited !!! Bloody Avatar did nothing with Stargate after the Atlantis mini series. There is a Ra mini series prequel but the series itself was never done. Looking forward for the new stargate comics !!!

Sat Trek: Crew - review
This 5 isuues mini series tells the story of Captain Pike's "number 1" since she was a cadet, through 5 different adventures. Loved the stories and the art but some thing is missing. That something is the story of how she became the Enterprise's first officer. Issue #5 ends with Pike being the first officer and number 1 still a lautenant refusing pomotion cos she wants to be the first officer. There is at least 1 chapter missing if not more. I hope that there will a 2nd Crew series that will tell the rest of the stories. I also would love to read about Pike's and Spock's adventures before TOS's 1st eppisode.

Doctor Who ongoing #1 - review
As usual I just had to read the 1st issue of the new Doctor Who ongoing. I have only 2 words to describe the issue "love it" "love it" "love it". OK that's 6 words but it shows how much I enjoyed the issue. Loved the play on names. Took me a while to realize that Archie Muplin is Charlie Chaplin. Loved how the artist catch David Tennant's maniarisms that make his Doctor so good, The clif hanger with the Dcotor on the tain tracks isn't a real clif hanger like "who shot JR". This is an going series so you don't kill your main character at the beginning of issue #2. Not to mention the Doctor's regeneration abilities. Tony Lee is one of my favorite writers and I'm very happy that he is the one writing this series :) BTW - can Time Lords be killed by cutting off their heads like the immortals in Highlander ???

Star Trek omnibus vol. 2
1 new item so far in July 09
Looks like IDW learned from their mistake in vol.1 and re-printing in this vol is great.
