IDW's idea to re-print the old Marvel Star Trek comics is great but the finished priduct is far from that. IDW is doing a wonderful job with the re-printing of the DC Star Trek comics in the Archives series and the coloring and re-printing of the old Doctor Who comics so I was really looking forward for this omnibus and was disappointed. 1st of all I hate the smaller omnibus format, and buy it only if I have no other way to get the comics. Why use it and not the larger Archives format ??? And if it's not enough that the pages are smaller, IDW did nothing to improve the faded quality of the material they were re-printing.
As for the stories - I read only half of them so far and they are not bad. Much better then the Tichman stories.
The 2nd omnibus is due later this week. I hope it won't be disappointing like the 1st one.
