Die Hard Year one #1-4

I love the Diw Hard movies and the same goes for the 1st story arc of the comics. The story is built in the same pattern as the movie and reading it was like watching a new movie. The art is great. I'm looking forward for the next story arc, and very upset that the was no mention of Die Hard in Bomm!'s April solicitations.

Doctor Who: The betrothal of Sontar

This is the 1st volune of the 10th Doctor comic strips from Doctor Who magazine. It was already sold out at Diamond when I discovered these collections, but luckly to me, it was still availabe at Amazon UK and was cheaper then the 2nd volume even with shipping costs :)


This collection is as great as the 2nd collection. Loved all the stories whether they were 8 pages long or 3 parters. Esp. since they were all about the Doctor & Rose with whom the Doctor was the happiest. Can't wait for the 3rd collection :)

The Bold and the Beautiful

Back in the 90s I was hooked on the American soap "The Bold and the Beautiful". I watched and taped every eppisode, posted on B&B boards. got into board fights over characters, stayed up late to participate in online chats with soap mags reporters and created "Eric Forrester on the web" - a web page dedicated to my favorite character Eric Forrester. I even named my cat Ridge and one of my dogs is called Erica. This lasted up till 2004 when chanel 2 stopped airing it. About 1.5 years ago I got back into maintaining screencaps galleries of 3 character (Eric, Brooke & Sally).


A month ago whenit was announced that B&B will be aired again in my neck of the woods, naturally I was very excited and couldn't wait for last Sunday to resume watching. Well. it was very disappointing because it's the same old same old. How many time one can watch Brooke crying her eyes out over Ridge - aka Ratpig, and the later jumping from her bed to Taydead's and back ??? Of course it was great to see my beloved Eric again, although the actor can loose more then a few pounds.


My excitment lasted exactly 3.5 eppisodes. In the middle of Wed. eppisode I switched over to Eastenders and on Thr. I watched only the last 5 minutes. Mr. Bradley Bell, if you don't want to be canceled like ATWT, then come up with new stories please. Crisis no. zillion in the Bridge marriage or no. million in the Nicket marriage don't interest anyone anymore. Been there and done that too many times already !!! And 1 more thing - you don't have to hire all the Y&R rejects.

Battlestar Galactica news

I've just got the 4th and final issue of Galactica 1980 and at end of the issue there as an announcment "To be continued in Galactica 1981" YAY !!! I just hope that it won't take Dynamite a year till the new Galactica series.

Stargate Universe

I just finished watching the 1st 10 eppisodes of Stargate Universe and the jury is still out. This new Stargate series is differnet from the previous 1 series SG-1 & Atlantis. I'ts more like Battlestar Galactica meeting Stargate including the mad scientist. There too many characters and even after 10 eppisodes I still don't know the names of most of them and what's their function. I miss the team spirit and connection that was the basis of SG-1 and John Shepperd's team success.

Vampire books

Lately I find myself reading more and more vampire books. I love the Angel/Buffy novels and comics and really got into the Anita Blake comics. I loved the 1st of the Blood Books by Tanya Huff and the same goes for Twilight, the 1st book of the Twilight saga books by Stephenie Meyer. But for some reason I didn't like the 1st Blood Ties book by Charline Harris. It was more an Harrold Robbins book with some characters that happen to be vampires. I guess I don't like Charline Harris writing because I couldn't even finish the only Aurora Teagarden mystery novel that I read.

Doctor Who ongoing #3-6 - The fugetive

The 2nd story arc of IDW's ongoing Doctor Who series is as good as the 1st one. Although it's a new story, it is still connected to the 1st story and ends with a cliff hanger that connects it to the nexy story. In this story the Doctor was prosecuted by Mr. Finch (the head master who was actually an alien bat from the 10th Doctor 1st season) for meddeling and was convicted to life imprisonment. At the the end it was ewvealed that it was all a ruse against Mr. Finch. Can't wait for the next story arc.

I loved Tony Lee's stories in Starship Troopers comics and love his currnet Doctor Who stories. IDW couldn't find anyone better for this ongoing series. :)
