Back in the 90s I was hooked on the American soap "The Bold and the Beautiful". I watched and taped every eppisode, posted on B&B boards. got into board fights over characters, stayed up late to participate in online chats with soap mags reporters and created "Eric Forrester on the web" - a web page dedicated to my favorite character Eric Forrester. I even named my cat Ridge and one of my dogs is called Erica. This lasted up till 2004 when chanel 2 stopped airing it. About 1.5 years ago I got back into maintaining screencaps galleries of 3 character (Eric, Brooke & Sally).
A month ago whenit was announced that B&B will be aired again in my neck of the woods, naturally I was very excited and couldn't wait for last Sunday to resume watching. Well. it was very disappointing because it's the same old same old. How many time one can watch Brooke crying her eyes out over Ridge - aka Ratpig, and the later jumping from her bed to Taydead's and back ??? Of course it was great to see my beloved Eric again, although the actor can loose more then a few pounds.
My excitment lasted exactly 3.5 eppisodes. In the middle of Wed. eppisode I switched over to Eastenders and on Thr. I watched only the last 5 minutes. Mr. Bradley Bell, if you don't want to be canceled like ATWT, then come up with new stories please. Crisis no. zillion in the Bridge marriage or no. million in the Nicket marriage don't interest anyone anymore. Been there and done that too many times already !!! And 1 more thing - you don't have to hire all the Y&R rejects.
