Percy Jackson & the lightning thief

I love the world of Harry Potter. I'm into it so much that I own at least 2 copies of each book (British & American), 2 copiesof each movie that was released so afr (wide & full screen) and planning on getting the ultimate versions too, 2 wands (Harry's & Snape's) and a mini model of the Firebolt. Sowhen I heard about the Percy Jackson books that are supposed to be the next Harry Potter, it was only natural that I'll read them too.

To tell the truth I couldn't put down this 1st book in the series although it's a balatant copy of Harry Potter. Here is an 11/12 years old boy who find out that he isn't a normal boy but a wizard/godling, goes to a wizards school/half blood camp and is the only one who can save the unsuspecting muggle/mortal world from the bad guys. The only real difference is that while JK Rowling created almost from scratch a wonderful magical world, Rick Riordan used the world of the Greek & Roman mythology the same as the Stargate creators use the Egyptian & Norse mythology.

Anyhow, I enjoyed the book very much and can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the books (I already own book 4).
