Smith's books like Night Visions etc.. Girl finds that she is not a normal teenager but a member of the supernatural world, falls in love with the wrong boy, and hook up with him although it's a very bad idea. The only difference is that this book has sequells. I find the Vanpire Diaries to be much superior to this book.
