True blood comics news from IDW

Back in February when I was in London, I posted about Dynamite going to adopt some of Charlaine Harris books. I ended the post with wishing that they'll adopt the True Blood books hoping that I'll like them better then the books, since I can't stand C. Harris's writing, although I love vampire books. It seems that IDW heard me and announced that True Blood comics will be coming to IDW in a new partnership with HBO. The series will be based off the show directly, rather than off the book series that spawned it (looks like I'm not the only one who can't stand the books :)). the series captures all the bloody details and sexy reveals of this exciting new adventure. The first six-issue series will be introduced in July at Comic-Con International: San Diego, and will feature Sookie and friends stuck in familiar Merlotte's Bar due to a severe storm. The storm isn't all they'll contend with, as a new creature that feeds directly off emotions comes to town.
