Another serial killer story. Scapetta's base of operation this time is Miami where is the head of a forensic academy owned by Lucy. Benton is in Boston analyzing a convicted serial murderer. Benton & Scarpetta are lovers again but don't seem to be able to live together. Marino is also there starting to act weird. At the end we find that Benton & Scarpetta's cases are interwind.
