Scarpetta: The Scarpetta factor

This book is more a Benton story then Scarpetta, and I'm a very happy Benton fan. The French Wolfman that escaped from death row in Blow Fly is back maskarading as an American buisnessman. We learn that Benton had to fake his death and later leave the FBI because of an envious deaf cologue who blamed Lucy's AI for his misfortune and took it on Benton & Scarpetta.
This is the 1st book in which Benton & Scarpetaa are living togther in New York. The Wolfman using the the deaf nutter, a nutty female banl robber/witch & a wannabe TV talk show hostess, try to mame Scarpetta with a stink bomb. At the end The deaf nutter commit suicide and Benton kills the Wolfman. But the TV woman & the bank robber are still at large and may appear in future book.
Scarpetta is very annoying. She keep bringing up how much she suffered when Benton was "dead". Like Benton didn't suffer having to live as a gay and knowing how much the woman he love is suffering.
