I've decided to read one of the Ender books before buying the comics adaptations to see if it's wrorth spending money on the comics. My reaction to the book is ambivalent. The action and story are interesting and compelling. BUT there is too many pages about what Beans (Ender's shadow) thinks and feels. In the 4th chapter it starts to be repetitous and annoying. Beans is smarter then everyone else including the adults and is too much aware of how small he is and how others react to that. We get it !!! No need to repeat it over and over !!!. In the future I'm going to stick with the comics version in which I'm sure that there is more acction and less blah blah. The books is going to the "to be sold" pile.
