A much better book then the previous one, esp, since Corenwell strayed from the formula she used in all the previous books. Scarpetta and co. are still after Gault, the serial killer who escaped capture in the previous book and suspect that he is guilty of the latest murder they are investigating in this book. As it turned out, the murderer was the psyco mother of the murdered little girl. Gault on the other hand, is busy hacking into FBI computers and framing Lucy - Scarpetta niece for it. What he is looking for is still a mystery. Looking forward to reading the next book.In this book the love affair between Scarpetta and Benton begins and Marino is very jealous, which eventually will lead into him raping Scarpetta.
