Reading this book I started to suspect that Maybe Cornwell dislike briliant strong independent women like her heroine. This all sarcastic "the big Dr. Scarptetta" talk and discribing her as a self centered stubborn woman who is unwilling to compromise for the man she love, is very annoying.Anyhow this time Scarpetta is after a fellow M.E. who cultivate deadly viruses just because she thinks that the world owe her an appology.
Benton is already divorced and wants to marry Scarpetta. She of course is afraid of commitment and does her best to push him away. Bitch !!!
